Maintains and repairs plumbing systems, opening and cleaning clogged drain pipes and traps, installing and replacing plumbing fixtures, repairing and or replace broken plumbing items, municipal water distribution, sewer systems, plumbing fixtures, Tanks, and water filtration and softeners.
Respond to emergencies and water leaks.
Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings using hand tools and power tools.
To remove grease and clearing of grease traps.
Study building plans and working drawings to determine required work tools and equipment, and sequence of installations.
Use of various material such as lead, resin, wax, sealer, solder nuts, bolts, pipe fittings, couplings, caulking, marantic acid, screws, pipe dope, etc.
Work with commercial-type equipment such as kitchen and laundry plumbing.
Prepare lists of needed supplies, hardware, and equipment.
